Do’s and Don’ts
Keep Your Pool Table in Perfect Condition
After getting your pool table leveled, here are things to do — and not do — to keep it perfect.
❌ Don’t Lift or Move the Table
Your table is leveled to its exact spot on the floor. Even a small shift can throw off the level and affect your game.
❌ Don’t Stand on the Table
Standing on the table will pop the slate seams, causing permanent damage that requires costly repairs.
❌ Don’t Scratch the Rails
Be careful while shooting — avoid hitting or scraping the cue against the wooden rails.
❌ Don’t Leave Items on the Table
Don’t leave anything on the table for more than a week — it will dent the felt.
❌ Don’t Sit on the Rails
Sitting on the inside rail could pop the rubber. Don’t put too much weight on the table — always keep one foot on the ground while playing.
✅ Do Redistribute Balls
When a pocket starts to fill up, move balls to another pocket to prevent stress on the pocket leather.
✅ Do Keep Drinks Away
Spills can easily stain the felt. Keep all drinks on a separate table away from the playing surface.
